Free OPML to mind map converter

Open an OPML file and see your outline as a mind map. Each item becomes a topic, nested as it was, and you can keep editing it here.

How it works

  1. Choose Open file, or drop an .opml file on the map area.
  2. The outline opens as a mind map. Change any topic, or add new ones.
  3. Export a PNG image, a .xmind file, Markdown or OPML.

Your file never leaves your browser

The file opens on your device. It is not uploaded, and its name and contents are not sent to us.

Take your maps to iPhone and iPad

MindmapPal for iPhone and iPad opens .xmind, OPML and Markdown files, works offline, and keeps every map as a file you own.

Questions

What is an OPML file?

OPML is a plain outline format. Outliners and many note apps can save one, and each line of the outline becomes a topic of the map.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The file is read on your device and never leaves your browser. Its name and contents are not sent to us.

Does the outline keep its order and nesting?

Yes. Each item becomes a topic under its parent, in the order of the outline.

Can I edit the map after it opens?

Yes. Rename, add, move and delete topics right here, then export the map again.

Which formats can I export?

A PNG image, a .xmind file, Markdown and OPML.

How large a file can it open?

Files of up to 50 MB, with up to 220,000 topics.
