Free XMind to PNG converter
Open a .xmind file and save the map as a PNG image to share or print. You do not need XMind, and the file stays on your device.
How it works
- Choose Open file, or drop a .xmind file on the map area.
- Pick the sheet you want. Change any topic first if you need to.
- Choose Export, then PNG. The image saves under the map’s name.
Your file never leaves your browser
The file opens on your device and the image is drawn there. It is not uploaded, and its name and contents are not sent to us.
Take your maps to iPhone and iPad
MindmapPal for iPhone and iPad opens .xmind, OPML and Markdown files, works offline, and keeps every map as a file you own.

Questions
Do I need XMind to make the PNG?
No. This page opens the .xmind file and draws the image in your browser.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is read on your device, the image is drawn there, and neither is sent to us.
Which sheet becomes the image?
The sheet open on the map. A file with several sheets has a tab for each, so pick one before you export.
What if the map is very large?
The tool draws the image as large as this browser allows. When a map is too large for that, it saves a smaller image and tells you.
Can a password-protected file become a PNG?
Yes. Type the password to open it. The PNG has no password, and the tool reminds you of that before the download.
Can I export other formats too?
Yes. The same map exports as a .xmind file, Markdown or OPML.
